About: Prevent Preventable Deaths (PPD) foundation is an Indian (National), Non-Profit, Independent, Medical Humanitarian Organization, aimed to Prevent Preventable deaths by teaching road safety, stopping bleeding, safe and early transfer, road-side assistance, education-related addiction and depression.  Our aim is to prevent premature unnatural deaths among youth, the most common cause is – road traffic injuries, suicides, and addiction.

PPD will help people based on need, irrespective of area, religion, caste, race, gender, and politics. Our actions are guided by principles of medical ethics and the principle of neutrality and impartiality.

Aim:  Prevent Preventable Deaths by

1. Improving awareness and related knowledge

A. Road safety – to reduce accidents

B. Mental health awareness – to reduce suicides

C. Alcohol and Drugs – to reduce premature deaths and related complications

2. Help in improving pre-hospital services

A. Early and safe transfer to health Centre –improving ambulance services.

B. Providing basic medical knowledge to society e.g., in schools, universities, police, and the public.

C. Providing first-aid skills to primary health care providers e.g., medical and nursing officers, ambulance personnel and associated medical services providers like NDRF/ SDRF etc.

D. Preparedness for Natural and Man-made disaster – to create a team that is highly trained in saving lives in disaster situations

3. Improving Post Trauma Rehabilitation services

  A. Psychological post-traumatic rehabilitation

  B. Providing support to Amputee and post-traumatic paraplegic support

   C. Help in improving quality of life after mental and physical trauma.
